Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo, MD, representing Colorado's 8th District since 2023, has been active on social media discussing historical events and legislative achievements. Her recent tweets reflect on significant moments in civil rights history and her ongoing efforts in Congress.

On December 5, 2024, Congresswoman Caraveo commemorated the Montgomery Bus Boycott's anniversary. She noted its importance as a "foundational event of the Civil Rights Movement" that significantly contributed to integrating public buses. "Sixty-nine years ago today, the Montgomery Bus Boycott began. This peaceful protest was one of the foundational events of the Civil Rights Movement and played a vital role in the integration of public buses."

Later that day, she announced legislative progress with her bipartisan Prove it Act. The act aims to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for small businesses and received bipartisan support on the House Floor. Caraveo expressed excitement about this being her fifth piece of legislation passed by the House during this Congress session. "NEWS! My bipartisan Prove it Act to cut through red tape & defend small businesses time and money just passed on the House Floor with bipartisan support."

The following day, December 6, 2024, Caraveo further elaborated on her Prove it Act's purpose. She emphasized its role in empowering small business owners who encounter costly federal regulations they perceive as obstacles. "My bipartisan Prove it Act will allow small business owners to be heard when they feel the federal government is imposing expensive roadblocks on them."
