Commerce City issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.

City Council is meeting virtually at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4. Members of the public can submit written comments in advance OR register to comment during Citizen Communication by noon Monday. Watch the meeting live online at c3gov.com/video or on CCTV Channel 8 (HD 881).

- COVID-19 update 

- Public hearing on an ordinance  removing zoning conditions on approx. 28 acres of the property at 9940 Havana S to remain I-2 (medium intensity industrial) and rezoning 1.87 acres of the property from I-2 to Public 

- An ordinance amending the 2021 budget to accept $1.99 million in grant funds Great Outdoors Colorado to support programs, places, and pathways projects

- An ordinance amending the city’s animal code to remove breed-specific regulations and address vicious animals, amend animal disturbance regulations, amend procedures for animal impoundment and disposition, and amend other provisions relating to the regulation of animals. 

-An ordinance amending the Municipal Code and Traffic Code to regulate the parking of vehicles in residential areas and abandonment and towing of vehicles  

- An ordinance rezoning the property at 7190 Colorado Blvd. from Public to Planned Unit Development (PUD) and approving a PUD zone document 

-Discussions on: a letter to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) about the Title V Permit for the Suncor Commerce City Refinery; and a support letter for the Great Outdoors Colorado Resilient Communities Grant
