The Westminster Public Schools Board of Education approved the academic calendar for the 2026-27 school year, according to a statement released on Mar. 9.

The new calendar sets important dates for students, families, and staff in the district. The schedule outlines when classes will begin and end, as well as key holiday breaks throughout the year.

According to the approved plan, classes are set to start on August 12, 2026. Thanksgiving Break will begin during the week of November 23, while Winter Break is scheduled from December 21, 2026 through January 5, 2027. Spring Break will take place during the week of March 24, 2027. The last day of school for students is planned for Wednesday, May 26, 2027.

The finalized calendar provides families with advance notice to help them plan vacations and other activities around these dates. School officials said that making this information available early supports better preparation for both instructional planning and family scheduling needs.

Further details about specific events or professional development days may be available on the district’s official website or through future communications from Westminster Public Schools.
