The City of Westminster announced on Apr. 2 that its annual Pothole Palooza will take place from April 27 to April 30, focusing on repairing potholes across city-owned streets.

This event is important for residents as it aims to improve road safety and comfort by addressing reported potholes quickly. Residents are encouraged to report potholes on city-maintained roads using Access Westminster online or through the mobile app. All reports must be submitted by 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, so crews can include them in the scheduled repairs.

Crews will only address potholes located on streets maintained by the City of Westminster. They cannot repair holes found in private parking lots or on state-maintained roads such as portions of Sheridan Boulevard, Wadsworth Parkway, Federal Boulevard, and U.S. Highway 36.

Residents who submit a report during this period will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a personalized street sign made by the city’s sign shop as recognition for their help improving local roads.

Looking back at last year’s event, more than 100 potholes were reported by residents, leading to a total of 2,201 potholes filled throughout Westminster using nearly forty tons of repair material. The city said these efforts helped make thousands of daily commutes smoother and safer.
