Tarleton State tops Texas Longhorns 6-1 with standout Anthony Treto on the mound

Former Brighton High School standout Anthony Treto helped his current team, the Tarleton State Texans, claim a 6-1 win over the Texas Longhorns in NCAA Division I baseball on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m.

The match was held at UFCU Disch-Falk Field and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Treto contributed three innings on the mound, allowing three walks and striking out five batters.

The Texans are set to play next on Friday, March 20, at 6:05 p.m. at Jaycees Field against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.
