Commerce City issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
The Quality Community Foundation (QCF) is participating for the first time in Colorado Gives Day, an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropic efforts through online giving. The event is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round, online giving platform. Donors can easily search for the Quality Community Foundation profile on the site and make safe and secure donations by Tuesday, Dec. 8, which is officially designated as Colorado Gives Day.
“Like many other organizations, our fundraising efforts have been impacted by the pandemic this year,” said Foundation President Laurel Eller. “Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support post-secondary education and recreational programming for Commerce City youth, and provide grants to fund various non-profit organizations that benefit Commerce City residents.”
With every donation received on Colorado Gives Day, QCF will receive a portion of the $1 Million Incentive Fund, one of the largest gives-day incentive funds in the country made possible by the Community First Foundation and FirstBank. This fund increases the value of every dollar donated.
