CITY OF COMMERCE: Virtual City Council Meeting - Monday, Nov. 16

City of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.

City Council is meeting virtually at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. Members of the public can submit written comments in advance OR register to comment live during Citizen Communication by noon on Nov. 16.

  • Citizen Communication
  • COVID-19 update and presentation on updated public health orders
  • Public Hearings on annexation and R-1 residential zoning for the Platte Place property generally located at 10550 Brighton Rd.
  • Ordinances amending the city budget to accept grant funds:
    • from the Bulletproof Vest Partnership for protective vests for the police department
    • from the Colorado Department of Transportation for DUI enforcement
    • from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program
  • Ordinance amending the city budget to transfer $584,271 from the general fund to the Capital Improvements and Preservation Plan for use on the E. 108th Avenue and Havana Street paving project
  • Discussion about South Platte Crossing, ratification of Tolling Agreement, and engagement of bankruptcy special counsel
