Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Empire Beauty School-Thornton

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Empire Beauty School-Thornton, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Colorado students paid $19,350 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 28 students received grants or scholarships totaling $140,780 and 32 students took out student loans totaling more than $250,280.

Including all undergraduates (101), 80 students used grants or scholarships totaling $323,495, and 77 students took out $580,328 in federal student loans.
