Colorado Rapids forward Donavan Phillip has been called up to the Saint Lucia Men’s National Team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA Series in Azerbaijan, according to a March 24 announcement from the club.
Phillip’s selection marks his first international call-up, reflecting his progress as a young player. He will join Head Coach Stern John’s squad during the March FIFA international window, with travel scheduled from March 22 through April 2. As part of their participation in the FIFA Series, Saint Lucia is set to play against host nation Azerbaijan on March 27 and will face either Oman or Sierra Leone on March 30.
Phillip was born in Castries, Saint Lucia. He was selected by Colorado with the 62nd overall pick in the third round of the 2025 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Before joining Colorado Rapids, Phillip had a notable collegiate career at NC State University where he won the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy in 2025. The award has been given annually since 1967 and is decided by a vote among United Soccer Coaches member coaches nationwide.
In early 2026, Phillip made four appearances for Rapids 2 in MLS NEXT Pro. His performances included scoring two goals against San Jose while serving as team captain during that match.
Phillip’s call-up highlights his growing profile within both club and international soccer circles.
