The Iver C. Ranum Innovation Campus will hold a student showcase event on May 4, according to an announcement released on April 8. The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the campus located at 2401 W 80th Ave., Denver.
The showcase aims to highlight student achievements and give families and community members a chance to see the facilities and programs available at the campus. Attendees will be able to participate in hands-on activities and view demonstrations by students from Westminster High School and Hidden Lake Secondary School.
Featured areas of study include cyber technology, certified nursing assistant/medical assisting, automation and robotics technology, biotechnology, health sciences, and aviation engineering. Organizers say these pathways are aligned with high-demand careers.
Additional attractions at the event include a food truck called Wolf Bites, a flight simulator, X-Cal robots, and possible appearances by special guests themed around “a galaxy far, far away.” The announcement invites both current and prospective Westminster Public Schools families to explore the campus’s focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and career technical education programming.
The event provides an opportunity for families considering enrollment in Westminster Public Schools to learn more about educational options that prepare students for future careers.
