Elected U.S. Legislators

  • U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans (R-Greeley)

Congressman Gabe Evans is proudly serving Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, which includes most of Adams County, Weld County north to and including Greeley, and part of Larimer County including Berthoud.

Gabe comes to Congress eager to make Colorado the best possible place to live and raise a family.

Prior to serving in public office, Gabe served his country in the U.S. Army, the Colorado Army National Guard as a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot and company commander, and as an Arvada police officer.

Gabe spent twelve years in the Army, where he completed a combat deployment to the Middle East and served in Operation Enduring Freedom, ultimately reaching the rank of Captain.

In the Colorado Army National Guard, Gabe was stationed at Buckley Air Force Base where he served as a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot and company commander responding to wildfires and search and rescues throughout Colorado. In 2011, Gabe joined the Arvada Police Department, where he reached the rank of Lieutenant before retiring to run for public office in 2022.

In 2022, he was elected to serve Colorado House District 48, which he faithfully served before being elected to Congress in 2024.

The grandson of Mexican immigrants, Gabe is a Colorado native who truly understands the beauty and responsibility of the American Dream. Preserving that sacred ideal for his community and children is why he served in the military, raised his hand for law enforcement, was elected to the Colorado State House, and now works to represent Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District well in Washington, D.C.

Gabe and his wife, Anne, own and operate a family farm in southern Weld County where they raise their two boys.

  • U.S. Rep. Yadira Caraveo (CO)

Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo, M.D. represents Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, composed of most of Adams County, a large portion of Weld County, and a portion of Larimer County. Prior to her election to Congress in 2022, Rep. Caraveo served families across the North Denver metro area as a pediatrician. As one of the few Spanish speaking pediatricians in the area, Rep. Caraveo spent nearly a decade treating families and children from Denver up to Greeley.

Rep. Caraveo grew up in Adams County, raised by her parents on her father’s construction worker’s salary and surrounded by her extended family in Brighton and Fort Lupton. Rep. Caraveo’s parents’ love for learning inspired her to work hard as a student in the Adams 12 Five Star Public School system, and to become the first in her family to graduate from college. After graduating from Regis University, Rep. Caraveo became the first in her family to attend medical school, at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In medical school, she decided she wanted to give back to her community by becoming a pediatrician. She completed her internship and residency at University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then moved back to Adams County.

As a pediatrician, Rep. Caraveo saw the struggles that families across the North Denver Metro area encounter every day — problems that she couldn’t fix as their doctor. Low wages, the high cost of housing, and expensive medication combined to make the American Dream that she and her family had achieved slip more and more out of reach for Colorado’s working families. One day, after getting off the phone with an insurance company that was delaying care for her patient, Rep. Caraveo decided she had had enough, and ran for the state legislature to make life better for the working families she saw in clinic every day.

In the state legislature, Rep. Caraveo worked across the aisle to take on special interests and advocate for the needs of Colorado families. When Colorado’s 8th Congressional District was drawn following the 2020 census, Rep. Caraveo decided to step up and run for Congress to fight for families from Commerce City to Greeley at the federal level.

As a pediatrician, Rep. Caraveo’s knowledge of the healthcare system helps her advocate for ways to lower healthcare costs and increase access to healthcare for Coloradans. As the daughter of immigrants, Rep. Caraveo knows how much work it takes to achieve the American Dream and is dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to pursue that dream.

Rep. Caraveo lives in Thornton, CO just 10 minutes away from her parents, who still live in her childhood home. She spends her free time with her mom and dad, her four siblings, and their children.

  • U.S. Rep. Jason Crow (D-Aurora)

Former Army Ranger and Bronze Star recipient Jason Crow grew up working class — he worked minimum-wage jobs during high school and enlisted in the National Guard and worked construction to help pay his way through college.

After graduating, Jason joined the active duty Army and served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even when he rose to the rank of Captain, Jason always remembered what it was like to march in the boots of an Army private. For Jason, this is the essence of servant leadership – always putting the needs of those you lead ahead of your own – and it continues to drive his approach today.

When Jason returned home, he looked for ways to continue to give back. Jason struggled to get his veterans benefits and knew others were having similar challenges transitioning from service to civilian life so he went to work helping veterans across Colorado.

Now Jason has taken his servant leadership to Congress where he represents Colorado’s 6th Congressional District and serves on the House Small Business and Armed Services Committees and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Whether combatting the climate crisis, creating better, higher-paying jobs for hardworking families, or preventing gun violence, Jason is focused on putting Colorado and our country ahead of politics and partisanship.
