On Sunday, Feb. 22, at noon, Frank Fabian, a former Academy of Charter Schools player, contributed to his college team, the Newman Jets, in a 10-9 win over the Washburn Ichabods in NCAA Division II baseball action.
The matchup was held at McCarthy Field. This contest marked their third meeting with the Ichabods this season. One day earlier, on Saturday, Feb. 21, the Jets fell 15-6 to the Ichabods.
Fabian pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering seven earned runs, tallying three walks and three strikeouts.
The Jets are set to face the Pittsburg State Gorillas next, with the game scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at Al Ortolani Field.
