The Colorado Rapids will host St. Louis CITY SC in the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Semifinals at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park on September 16, according to a May 28 announcement from U.S. Soccer. The match is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. MT kickoff, with coverage available on CBS Sports Network, Paramount+, Altitude Radio, ColoradoRapids.com, and the Colorado Rapids App.

The Rapids have reached the semifinals of the domestic tournament for the first time since 1999 after defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 in the quarterfinals. Forwards Darren Yapi and Rafael Navarro scored goals for Colorado, while Nico Hansen posted his second clean sheet through three U.S. Open Cup appearances. In earlier rounds, Colorado defeated USL Championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and USL League One side Union Omaha.

St. Louis CITY SC advanced to the semifinals by overcoming two Major League Soccer teams—Chicago Fire FC and Houston Dynamo FC—as well as FC Tulsa of the USL Championship. Their quarterfinal against Houston ended in a shootout after a 2-2 draw through regulation and extra time; St. Louis won after four rounds without missing an attempt for a final shootout score of 4-2.

Colorado Rapids Season Ticket Members will have an opportunity to purchase their seating location for the semifinal match at the lowest available price. Members can expect an email from their Membership Services Executive with further details in coming weeks.

Tickets for the general public will be made available soon.
