The Colorado Rapids will host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park on April 29, according to an announcement from U.S. Soccer.

This match is part of the national tournament and brings together two teams from Colorado, giving local fans a chance to see them compete for a spot in the quarterfinals. The game will start at 7:00 p.m., with coverage available on CBS Sports Network, Paramount+, Altitude Radio, ColoradoRapids.com, and the Colorado Rapids App.

The Rapids reached this stage after a narrow 1-0 win over Union Omaha from USL League One. A goal by Dante Sealy and strong defense secured their advancement to the next round.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC advanced after defeating Sporting Kansas City with a score of 3-0 on the road. Juan Tejada, Sadam Masereka, and Khori Bennett each scored in that match. Before this victory, they also won against Spokane Velocity FC and Azteca FC earlier in the tournament.

Season Ticket Members for the Rapids will receive complimentary tickets automatically loaded into their KSE Account Manager. Tickets are also available for purchase by the general public.
