The Colorado Rapids announced on April 16 that the club will host a free fan festival to celebrate its 30th anniversary ahead of the match on Saturday, April 18. The event, called the Colorado Rapids 30th Anniversary Fan Fest, will begin at 10:30 AM on Mane Street at Empower Field at Mile High.
The festival is open to all fans and aims to bring together supporters in celebration of three decades of club history. Attendees can expect a range of activities before kickoff, including featured hype videos and a display of jerseys from every era of Rapids soccer.
According to the announcement, “This high-energy, festival-style pregame experience brings fans together ahead of kickoff with: Live DJ entertainment; Photo ops; Family-friendly kids’ zone with interactive games; On-site prize giveaways; Local food trucks and beverage options; Limited-edition 30th Anniversary merchandise.” The club also encourages fans to RSVP for the event online.
The Fan Fest will be located between Gates 9 and 10 on the south end of Empower Field. Exclusive merchandise from the team’s special anniversary capsule collection will be available for purchase during the festivities.
Organizers say they are looking forward to seeing fans come together for this milestone occasion as part of a day dedicated to celebrating Colorado Rapids’ legacy.
