The Colorado Rapids announced on April 12 their starting lineup and roster notes ahead of their match against Houston Dynamo FC. The game is set to take place at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, on Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
This match is notable as newly-acquired players Kosi Thompson and Georgi Minoungou are included in the gameday roster for the first time. Thompson, who joined the team through a trade with Toronto FC on March 26, will be starting the match. Minoungou was transferred from Seattle Sounders FC on March 27.
Paxten Aaronson enters this fixture in strong form, having scored three goals over his last two matches. This includes his first career brace against Sporting Kansas City and a successful free kick in Toronto last weekend. Striker Rafael Navarro is also approaching a milestone; with one more goal he will surpass Cole Bassett and Henderson for sixth-most goals in club history.
Wayne Frederick will make his fourth start of the season, which continues to increase his single-season career-high appearances. Meanwhile, defenders Jackson Travis and Miguel Navarro are unavailable for selection after each received red cards during the previous contest with Toronto.
