The Colorado Rapids are preparing to host their first home game of the 2026 Major League Soccer season against the Portland Timbers at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. The match is scheduled for Saturday afternoon with a kickoff time of 2:30 p.m.
Fans attending the game will notice several updates to the food and beverage offerings this season. A new Burgundy Bites Value Menu has been introduced, featuring items such as hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, nachos with cheese, ice cream pops, French fries, bottled soda, and water—all priced at $5 each. Additionally, local food vendors like Taco Bron, Big Belly Brothers BBQ, Maria Empanada, Infinitus Pie, GB Fish & Chips, and Jake Baby D’s have stands throughout the stadium.
Drink specials will be available before and after the match. Pregame draft beers will be sold for $5 until 30 minutes prior to kickoff (limit two per transaction with valid ID), while postgame drink specials extend for at least one hour following the match.
Stadium upgrades are also part of this year’s experience. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats at least 20 minutes before kickoff to witness new pregame moments that include pyrotechnics and a team procession onto the pitch. The South Bank section will feature 2,500 flags for supporters each game along with fireworks and other visual displays before play begins.
Improvements have also been made to fan amenities such as an upgraded Altitude Authentics Team Store and new trophy cases located inside Gate G and near The Dale’s Bar. New murals celebrating club history have been installed at Legends Corner and the South Bank area of the stadium. More details on these enhancements can be found on the team’s official site https://t.co/khgAzS1t48.
Pregame activities include tailgating opportunities hosted by Centennial 38 supporters group in Lot F or other lots around DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. The Dale’s Bar opens at 1:00 p.m., offering food and beverages before and after the game between Gates D and E.
Parking remains free at DSGP for all fans attending matches. Those arriving with strollers or bikes can use the Park Everything Lot outside Gate B where stadium security secures wheeled vehicles during games. For those using rideshare services, there is a dedicated Rapids Rideshare Lot now located next to Lot H on E 60th Ave; its location can be viewed on the interactive map within the Rapids App.
All gates open at 1:30 p.m., giving fans time to visit concession stands or shop for merchandise ahead of kickoff. During halftime fans can participate in activities such as dizzy penalty kicks or meet RapidMan—the team mascot—at Section 134 until midway through the second half.
Tickets remain available via the official Rapids website. Health and safety guidelines as well as comprehensive information about stadium amenities can be accessed through resources provided by Colorado Rapids online platforms.
For those unable to attend in person, updates including lineups and stats will be available through the Rapids App; live streaming is offered via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; radio coverage is provided by Altitude Sports Radio 950 AM; additional content is shared across social media channels including YouTube.
