The Colorado Rapids announced on Apr. 17 a series of fan activities and community events to mark the club’s 30th Anniversary Match against Inter Miami CF, scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at Empower Field at Mile High.

The anniversary match aims to bring together fans and honor three decades of Colorado soccer. The club said the event will include a pregame Fan Fest, community cleanup initiatives, and recognitions of former players.

Festivities will begin with a Fan Fest outside the south end of the stadium between Gates 9 and 10 starting at 10:30 a.m. The festival-style gathering will feature live DJ entertainment, stage programming, photo opportunities, interactive games for children, local food trucks, beverage options for purchase, and limited-edition merchandise celebrating the anniversary. The first 30,000 fans in attendance will receive commemorative tickets provided by UCHealth.

A halftime show is set to feature Denver-based DJ Lane 8 performing as part of his label’s tenth anniversary celebrations. Lane 8 has previously sold out fifteen headline shows across Colorado and recently released his album “Childish.” According to organizers, this appearance follows his fifth consecutive sell-out performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Katie Brown, Senior Director of Revenue & Experiential Marketing for the Rapids said: “This milestone is more than just a match; it’s a tribute to the fans, players, and staff who have defined Colorado soccer for 30 years. Returning to Mile High in the heart of Denver allows us to celebrate our history on a monumental stage while welcoming the next generation of Rapids supporters.”

Other planned activities include complimentary baby goat yoga hosted by mascot RapidMan on April 16 and an alumni dinner recognizing sixty former players before they are honored during halftime on April 18. Players will wear special kits featuring an anniversary patch as part of tributes throughout the event.

In partnership with Denver officials supporting First Lady Courtney Johnston’s monthly service initiative, volunteers participating in the Give5 Mile High Colfax Cleanup earlier that day can receive complimentary tickets and exclusive merchandise from the club.

Tickets for Saturday’s match remain available.
